The Orchestra
The SVSO is a 65+ piece community orchestra made up of talented nonprofessionals with selected professional support. We present 4 or 5 concerts a year of exciting, demanding, standard orchestral repertoire.
The concerts are held at the beautiful 850-seat North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie. There are 6 to 7 rehearsals for each concert, on Thursdays, with an additional rehearsal on the Monday before the dress, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m.
