Pre-School Concert: Flute, Piano, narrator Ages 3 - 6

"Join Sandra Rowland, flute and Sally Daley, piano for a concert of condensed classical pieces, along with the reading of the children’s book “Green Golly and Her Golden Flute” by Keith Torgan and Barbara Siesal. Both Sandra and Sally are members of the Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra.  The SVSO can be heard at the North Shore Center for Performing Arts in Skokie.  For more information go to www.svso.org

"Flutist, Sandra Rowland earned her graduate and undergraduate degrees in Flute Performance from Eastern Michigan University and has studied with Glennis Stout, Penny Fischer, and Rodney Hill. She performs regularly with the Skokie Valley Symphony, the North Shore Symphony, and the Lake Shore Symphony Orchestras and also has performed on “Live from WFMT” hosted by Kerry Frumkin. Sandra maintains a flute studio in Chicago, and is on Flute faculty for the Peoples Music School in Chicago.   

Pianist, Sally A Daley,QM, is a music minister who enjoys writing for and playing the flute. She is a native of Allentown (Lehigh Co.), PA, and a graduate of Northwestern University in the areas of piano performance and musical composition. She has twice won honorable mention in the Mu Phi Epsilon International Original Composition Contest. She served as music director in several parished of the Archdiocese of Chicago, and is now music minister at Three Crowns Park in Evanston, IL. She is also formation director of the Franciscan society of the Queenship of Mary, a vowed secular community.
